Opulent Temple presents Wonka in Wonderland

In Chapter 5, things take a strange turn, as slightly crazy and likely dangerous orange men have invaded Wonderland. We’re not sure if this is a twisted band of oompa loompas or a more sinister turn but at least we know they’ll be candy. A costume party for music, community and mischief. Quality beats, tea parties, revelry and hopefully a little trouble! Come in costume!! You know what to do.

2 Rooms of music, visuals art, deco, performance treats and all kinds of creative fun in the works.

A 100% benefit for Opulent Temple’s 501c project in the Sacred Dance Foundation & our past and future projects!

Tim Green Bio:

Possessing the ability to effortlessly manoeuvre through the realms of house and techno, Tim Green has constantly experimented across the spectrum of electronic music. Whether putting out reverberating minimal techno, smooth deep house, or sprinkling some of that unmistakable TG charm over productions of popular appeal, his work is stamped by ingenuity, fearlessness and fun. Tim burst onto the scene back in 2008 with modern classics – ‘Revox’ and ‘Mr. Dry,’ which were snapped up by highly revered labels, Dirtybird and Trapez Records. The records picked up support from top players such as Pete Tong, Sven Vath, Richie Hawtin and Luciano along the way and Tim swiftly catapulted himself into the upper echelons of the techno hierarchy. Countless high profile releases have followed since, on labels such as Cocoon, Get Physical, Saved and Four:Twenty, while his skills as a remixer have seen him turn his hand to an increasingly impressive cast, which includes Friendly Fires, Cassius, Booka Shade, Claude VonStroke, Timo Maas and Seth Troxler to name a few. Tim’s sound has seen him tour every corner of the globe over the past decade as a DJ. He is a regular for the likes of Womb Tokyo, Fabric London, Watergate Berlin, Space Ibiza, Circus Liverpool, Jaegar Oslo, Electric Pickle Miami, Spy Bar Chicago and D-Edge Sao Paulo, with also appearances at clubs like Panorama Bar and events such as Burning Man. Recent years have seen his evolution even further, with remixes of M.A.N.D.Y’s past tracks including ‘Montagmaschine,’ which featured on the ‘Remixes EP’ alongside Guti and Marc Houle, a remix for Kidnap Kid on FFRR Records as well as a 2 track EP, ‘Eclipse’ on Cocoon Recordings and another stellar EP, ’Overstance’, on MFR records in 2015. 2016 has been a stellar year for Tim: his release schedule took on meteoric heights, from a mesmerising EP on Cocoon called ’Among Wolves’ to returning to a home away from home – Get Physical – with not one but two releases: ’Only Time Remains’ EP as well compiling and mixing the 18th volume of their acclaimed Body Language compilation CD. As if that wasn’t enough, his remix work has continued with stellar outputs: from Mark Slee’s Nocturne Belle to one of the biggest dance tracks of the year: Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five by Paul McCartney & Wings vs Timo Maas & James Teej, a remix which was hailed as the track of the summer for 2016. The second half of 2016 was no less successful, with strong releases on Lee Burridge’s Get Weird imprint, a hugely popular remix for Atelier Francesco on Cityfox and an EP on My Favorite Robot, all the while planning his new LP for 2017, proved that Tim has what it takes to reach the upper echelons of the electronic music scene. Tim Green’s journey as one of the most talented and unique electronic music artists at the moment keeps rising to new heights. Expect more solid releases and unique new projects as we continue looking into future.

HOJ Bio:

Hoj is a weird name. It’s just 3 letters, but only 3% of people in the world pronounce it correctly. It doesn’t translate well (especially into Spanish). And is often misspelled. The mischief caused by these 3 little letters is a constant source of amusement for Hoj and those closest to him.

Don’t worry, we’ll tell you how to pronounce “Hoj” correctly. That way if you ever meet Hoj, you can surprise him by pronouncing his name correctly. But we’ll hold out a bit longer for dramatic effect.

So yes, lots of mischief caused by the 3 letters that are his name. Fitting, because Hoj sets out to create mischief in all his creative endeavors. His music is deep and sexy in a way that encourages crowds to create a little mischief of their own.

This sound earned him a night at Berlin’s legendary Panorama Bar amongst a slew of other clubs and stages around the world. He was one of the founding members of the Opulent Temple at Burning Man, and in recent years his sets atop the Robot Heart bus have become legendary in their own right. He continues his musical escapades alongside Lee Burridge as a resident for All Day I Dream. And also enjoys a residency with Listed Productions.
