Get Ready For Something New…
The Midway welcomes you to The Mask’erade, a 3-day outdoor music and dining experience with tables extended onto the street, a full stage and added Funktion 1 sound The first Mask’erade boasts takeovers from Trash Fence, Opulent Temple, and SET Underground.
 
Outdoor Dining Guidelines
 
Guests:
  • Guests are required to wear face coverings at all times unless actively eating/drinking.
  • Guests must remain at their tables unless they are picking up food/drinks or using the restroom.
  • Each table reservation includes a seat for 4 guests. No more than 4 guests can occupy a table or the space around a table at a time.
  • Guests are not permitted to congregate in aisle-ways, between tables, or at food/beverage pick up.
Venue:
  • All Personnel are required to use Face Coverings as required by the Face Covering Order, wash hands frequently, and maintain a physical distance of at least 6-feet to the extent possible.
  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the dining area. Contactless ordering & payment are encouraged.
  • The Midway is in compliance with all SF DPH Health orders as they pertain to outdoor dining. Additional information is available upon request.
  • Designated areas/lines with markings are on the ground to indicate both directions and six-foot distancing.

This Saturday we’re having a ‘Virtual’ white party!
During these difficult times on the night of our annual Sacred Dance gathering, we are reaching out for connection to our community, while still following physical distancing guidelines and helping a good cause for the many disaffected people of this crisis.
 
Since Saturday night was supposed to be our night together (now moved to July 25), we thought it’d be nice to still get together and connect and dance in music, and try to help out while we were at it.
 

Note – we’ll also set up on Facebook live but it tends to crash a lot and won’t sound as good so check the Twitch channel for best results.

This is Final Chapter, the End of this Particular Tale, and (probably) the last Wonderland! After 7 fantastic years of magic vibes and amazing costumes, we’ve decided to have a last Wonderland hurrah and then put this book back up on the shelf. New event concepts and directions will emerge in the future, but we have to take one last trip down this very fun rabbit hole with you, so let’s make it a night worthy of the occassion! We enter 2020 gearing up for our 18th year on the playa, and 14th major sound camp production. As you may know since 2012, we’ve been on the ‘every other year’ plan for going big, and 2020 finds us definitely ready to go big! With an extra year of planning, fundraising and plotting our wide scale joy tinged in fire light, we take our first step on the road back, but only with your help. For this first party, we’re going locals only, no special guests except you, community gathering, low cover and friendly vibes. Interested in camping with us in 2020? Come meet some peeps and hang out.

The 2019 theme, Metamorphoses, was a celebration of change, and an exploration of uncertainty. As such it invites a consideration of time; not its circular nature, or its attendant ritual, but in this case the relentless flight of time’s arrow, and an embrace of the elusive now. Memory is fickle, and the future is uncertain. None of us knows what they will become, but we can seek to understand where we are at this point in our transformative trajectory, this fleeting chord on the strings of existence.

It’s an ‘odd’ year, which means we don’t do our own mega dance floor, but we DO still show up to be Opulent, all about town! Thanks to the awesome friends at these 3 camps for partnering!! Here’s how to find us below.
